A large number of members of the AAA have jobs in the weaponry trade as gunsmiths, arquebusier craftsmen, antique dealers, restorers or participants in the writing of various specialized books and magazines, in France and abroad.
TALKS AND MUSEOLOGY
For a number of years now the members of the AAA have taken part in specific actions in museums of the south of France ie talks on antique weapons and setting up military art collections.
EXHIBITIONS IN SCHOOLS
The AAA presents exhibitions related to syllabuses. This is an occasion for pupils to see History in a different way.
MEETING THE GENERAL PUBLIC
Every year the AAA organizes a Fair dedicated to antique weapons and historical documents supported by various activities ie model shows, recreations of antique weapons or exhibitions and contests involving rare weapons or unusual military items. These are major events and occasions to attract the general public.
A SPECIALIZED RESEARCH CENTER IN PROGRESS
For a number of years now the AAA has gathered dozens of old and new books dedicated to antique weapons and military art. Together with numerous private archives and gunsmiths' old catalogues, these volumes lay the foundation for a future specialized research center meant to gather in one place all the information necessary to research workers keen on going deeper into their field of research.
